  She was in Turkish prison for one month after being arrested because of participating in a non-violent action. Today August 9 we received a new letter from her.

• We, WiB Leuven, find it very important that more women from the South can join this international WiB Conference. For this reason we started our fundraising campaign to get Bernedette Muthien from Cape Town, South Africa to Jeruzalem. Unforseen circumstances made Bernedette couldn't go, but we could find a fantastic other woman to go Joana Bhalerao, a Dalit woman from India.
